Two cuties on a stroll!

Hi This is just a quick post. Its 3am and i cant sleep so thought i would post the card i made earlier.
The image is a new Bildmalarna "Little Winged Friends "stamp which i got from Dies to Die For, its called "On Walk" It is absolutely adorable and just love them. I coloured it with Promarkers and have dotted glossy accents on the flowers and leaves.
The sketch i followed is from Friday Sketchers, its a fab sketch! My 2 papers are from a Docrafts pack called Honey and Hugs. The border is cut from my Cricut Story Book Cartridge and i have layered it with Glossy Accents and sprinkled it all with Glamour Dust. The photo doesnt to it justice, it looks great IRL.
The flowers are a mix of papermania ones and a handmade one. The leaves are from the Story Book Cartridge and again covered in Glossy Accents and Glamour Dust. The sentiment is one from a free pack that i got in a magazine! I coloured the hearts and gave it the same treatment of glossy accents and glamour dust!  The lace, charm, pin and gems are from my stash.

Heres the challenges i am entering with the card;

Thanks for visiting and having a look about!

My New Love! Seeing Double!

Hi, Hope your having a lovely day. I have had a day crafting...well a afternoon anyway!
A few days ago i came across this cutie bear on the talented Lisa's blog, She is on the Teddy Bo DT which is a new challenge for these lovely bears. You must have a look here at the images if you have not seen them yet! There has been new images added which are just fab! I have bought a pile of them, couldnt wait...just had to have them!

Onto my card...this is not my usual style of card but thought i would leave the comfort zone..well a bit because couldnt help but slipping in the Lavender along with the kraft paper, browns and cream. I distressed all the edges with brown ink. I followed the sketch from the Mojo Monday blog this week.
The Image, as i mentioned above is from Teddy Bo. I have two of the same image on my card to fit with the Teddy Bo Challenge, which is "Seeing Double", one on the front and the other inside. This image is called "Can you See Me" and used the accessories image to give her a umbrella. I coloured her in with my promarkers, I cut the images out and rubbed them with a shaper tool to make them curve to make them stand out more.  You can see this effect in the pictures The lace has also been distressed a bit with the ink. The flower was one i made myself and sat on a cuttlebug die flower and a twisted piece ribbon. Again distressed with the ink.

On the inside i have just layered the same papers and added the same image for the Teddy Bo challenge.
 Here is the links of the challenges i want to enter with this card.

Thanks for visiting my blog and all the lovely comments!

Not a flower in sight!!

Hi, I hope you are all having a lovely lazy Sunday! I dont know where the day has went, got up tidied up and before i noticed it was 3pm!
Here is a LOTV card with one of their new stamps. How cute are these images?! I just love their little feet dangling crossed over....too cute! I coloured them in with promarkers. The sentiment comes with the image.
The sketch i followed is from the LOTV challenge this week. Its a fab sketch and is a good one for keeping it simple which is the challenge for the I love Promarkers challenge! I found it so hard to keep my hand out my flowers pot! Not even a gem or swirl in sight either. I used 3 buttons and the ribbon...thats it! The papers are from the Daisy and Dandelion pad that i have had for ages and its lay at the bottom of my drawer. Its got some good matching papers in there. I have also inked the edges very slightly with Dusty Concord distress ink.

This is the challenges i want to enter this card into;
http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.com/ - Keep it sweet and simple
http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/ - Polka Dots - (I was 10 mins too late!!)
http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/ - Spots/dots (Paper and Swiss dots embossed layer)

Thanks again for looking and for the kind comments that you leave each time. It really is appreaciated!

Chocolate box!!

Good morning, i have bee trying to post this since last night...not sure if there was something up with blogger but it kept saying i couldnt upload photos because i needed the proper licence or something??
Anyway here all fine now. I decided to make a box to hold chocolates for the kids to give to my mum.
Its actually a slider box and the whole sleeve slides of and leaves the plain pink box. Worked out great and just as i planned.
The image is one of the hAnglar stamps i found trailing the net. She is lovely, i love these stamps so i am on a mission to get a lot more...so hard to get though. I coloured her in with Promarkers. On her heart i used glossy accents and glitter, as well as on her bows in her hair etc.
The flowers are handmade and the leaves/vines are from the potpourri cartridge. I have not used that cut before but its quite nice with the swirls on there too.
The paper is a Bo Bunny one i think, dont quote me on that one! The ribbons down each side has been pleated by used a run of double sided tape and then just folded it in as i went. To be honest i thought it would be quicker than sewing it the gathering it up but it wasnt! The edges are punched with my MS punch.
Heres is a front on view.
The sentiment was a free one from Birds Cards. I just found this blog the other day and its fab, she has cutting files on there too! Lots of great stuff!

Here is the challenges i am entering with this choc box;
http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ - Recipe 1,2,3 (I have used 1 brad, 2 fancy pins, and 3 flowers!)
http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/ - Bingo! (i used Gems, Glitter, Ribbon line)

Thanks for looking and hope you have a great weekend!

Something other than pink!

Hi, Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I am looking forward to getting back to normal this week. My daughter had her operation on Thursday. She had a Liver biopsy, grommet insertion and adenoids taken out. She was the bravest girl ever. The only thing she complained about was her sore shoulder because she had to lie on her side for nearly 6 hours and because she was leaning on her shoulder it was hurting her. It was meant to be 4 hours but the nurses werent sure so kept her on her side until they checked! Yes.. took them 2 hours to check it out!! Dont get me wrong the staff were extremely good, went beyond the job description to make all the kids on that ward feel at ease and comfortable.

Here is my card that i rattled up tonight while watching Dancing On Ice! The sketch is from the Sugar Bowl Challenge. Great sketch to work with. My cutie is coloured in with Pro markers. I am usually a pastel colour girl but really liked these bold colours together. Over at the CES challenge the challenge is no Designer Papers, it was hard not to reach into the paper stack but i managed! I distressed the edges of all the white and teal paper with walnut ink.
The swirls and leaves are die cuts from my Cricut and the flowers as usual were home made and touched up with stickles. The gems and ribbon are out my stash.

I am entering the card into the following challenges;

Thats a lot of challenges with one card! I am now off to try and get a few hours sleep!
Thanks for visiting and having a look!

What a Week!

Hi, well i have had the busiest week! The boys were off school with a bug and Ryan, the oldest, ended up with a chest infection. Carrie, my six year old has had a few hospital appointments this week because she is going in tomorrow for a operation. She has Auto Immune Liver Disease, this is where her own immune systems attacks her liver so she is going for another Liver Biopsy to see how her liver is doing She is also having grommets put back in for her hearing and her adenoid taken out again. They were taken out a few years back but her immune suppressant medication has caused them to grow back!! Strange but thats the theory! I am not looking forward to the the operation but it has to be done and better that they do it all at one time instead of two different operations which was the first plan!

Anyway here is my card for the Lili of the Valley Challenge. Great sketch as usual! I am running so late with this, i have 1 hour to get this posted!! I coloured my image with my promarkers. I love this image, so far one of my favourites. I have a feeling when i get my new stamps i might have a new favourite!
The sentiment is from my cricut wild card cart and onto a punched tag. The papers are ones i have had for so long that i cant remember. I think they are maybe DCWV ones but not sure!
The flower is again, homemade and inked with a pink ink pad. The gems and ribbon are from my stash.

I am entering into these challenges;
http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.com/ - Punches (i punched the scalloped border and tag also got diecuts on the card)

Thanks for visiting and will be back online at the weekend. I will be staying in the hospital with Carrie overnight. Away to pack our bags!

New Arrival!

Hi, well i am on a role with making cards this week! I think i have had a post every day!
The Lovely hAnglar Only Challenge this week is a recipe...3 flowers, 2 brads and 1 ribbon. My hAnglar baby is coloured using promarkers. He is too cute for words! The papers are from TPC Studio, Blips and Bleeps. The second layer was embossed using the Swiss Dots embossing folder and the layer with the ribbon and scalloped edge was embossed using my score-board to get nice straight embossed lines. As always my flowers were home-made and inked with distress ink along with the vine that was cut from my Cricut. The teddy charm was a last minute add on. Its was actually just a little felt bear that i found in my "baby bits and bobs" tub so thought i would use him as a charm! The sentiment was cut from my Cricut Wild Card cartridge and glazed over with Glossy Accents..(i cant make a card without using this stuff!!) The brads and ribbon are just from my stash.

Here is the challenges i am entering with this card.

Thanks for visiting my blog and thanks for your lovely comments!

Cheers!

Hi There, I am having another sleepless night so what else is there to do but make and post a card for some challenges. There is quite a few challenges i am entering the card into so will just list and link them all at the end.
I used the sketch from the Sketch and Stash challenge, such a simple and easy one to follow. For the background i used one of my fav cuts from the Cricut Storybook cartridge. I mounted it on the tiny sized foam pads so it stood out. I decided, in one of my play about moments, to cover all the swirl cut in Crackle Accents...i dont know what i was thinking about but it actually turned out better than i thought. Kinda  looks like snake skin!! (Cant see it in this picture i dont think.)  My LOTV image is one i have had since its release date and never ever inked it up. I had it in my head that it would be a nightmare to colour....it was the total opposite. I used my Promarkers and for the cat i just used Cool Greys 1,2 and little bit of number 3. I added a few dots of Glossy Accents on the cats nose, present tag and the glasses.  The flowers are a mix match of flowers i had in my scrap/extra bits and bobs box and i just layered them and added one of my handmade flowers on the top. I inked all the edges of them and added Glossy Accents and tiny bit glitter. I actually liked how it turned out. My button was also a old button of the inside of my old jacket!! I added some of my favourite Glossy Accents and glitter. The sentiment was recycled of another old card i had lying about. The pin, beads, pearls and ribbon were just all from my stash.

Here goes for the list of challenges i am entering the card into!
http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.com/ - Recycle ( i used a old button, flowers and sentiment)
http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com/ - White is White. (Hope this is white enough!)
http://sketchandstashchallenge.blogspot.com/ - Followed sketch and i used a stamp bought a long time ago but never inked up until tonight!

Goodnight..(good morning actually) and thanks for popping by and having a look!

Feeling Blue?

Hiya, I am definitely feeling blue tonight...we have got more snow falling!! I am so fed up with it, hope it doesnt come to much and has gone by the morning. We still have a bit of snow still lying thats not melted from the last time.
Tonight i am entering this card into a lot of challenges so i will just list and link them all at the end.
The sketch i followed is from the Unscripted Sketches Challenge Blog. The challenge was "2010 Review" in which you are to choose a past sketch from the list. I picked this one......
My Tilda is coloured in used Promarkers, i love the sitting Tildas, they just look so cute sitting there with legs dangling! I have added glossy Accents and glitter to parts of her dress and bow. My roses were out my stash and i added the twine and leaves to them and added glitter. The paper I used in the background is a glittery one from the "Slice" paper pack. I really like the papers i got in that pack. I usually find i only like a some of the papers out a pack and then the rest get left to gather dust but i will use all the papers in this one!
My metal brad is one i have had for a long long time..i bought it on my very first craft supplies shopping spree but forgot all about it until i cleaned my drawer out! I did put a new brad in the centre of it as it had a white one in it and it didnt go with my cream card! My butterfly is punched from Vellum and rubbed to shape it slightly. My sentiment is cut from my Wild Card Cricut Cartridge and again coated with Glossy Accents and Glitter.

Here is the challenges i am entering into tonight...

Stamp Something - Glittery!
Our Creative Corner - A Thank You Recipe (Blue, Cream, Metal and Vellum)
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Blues Challenge
Allsorts Challenge - Thank You
Unscripted Sketches - 2010 Review (Past Sketch)
Totally Tilda - Ribbons and Roses
Just Magnolia & hAnglar - Anything Goes

Thanks for having a look.
Hope you all have a good night!
